Welcome to Norfolk Property Sales
The easterly county of Norfolk lies on the North Sea coast. It has borders with the counties of Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Lincolnshire. The city of Norwich is the County Town.
Norfolk is a very flat county, the highest point, Beacon Hill, being only a hundred metres above sea level. The area was initially settled in the fifth century by the Angles. As befits the naming conventions of the time they became the north folk and south folk which later transposed into Norfolk and Suffolk.
The county hosted the American Air Force during WW2 and it is around this time that agriculture in the county adopted a more intensive approach to support the war effort. Today, the county remains a major agricultural producer.
Norfolks other main industry is tourism especially to the seaside resorts, the Norfolk Broads, Norwich and the Royal residence of Sandringham.
